NLAT is a voluntary, independent, non-governmental, non-profit and membership-based civil society organization.
It is established with the main aim and commitment to making provision for ensuring standardization, quality assurance, metrology and testing services transacted in Tanzania are well enhanced so as to facilitate industrial development and trade as well as ensuring sustained protection of health and safety of the general public and the environment.
Among other things, NLAT is diligently committed at devising and conducting various training programs for strengthening laboratory quality infrastructure purposely for enhancing quality and reliable testing services.
